Our Story
As a small business starting out in Ontario, we are proud to partner with our family coffee farm in Jalapa, Guatemala. Our commitment to quality and innovation is evident in every step of our process. The farm is located near the village of Aldea El Rodeo in the Region of Jalapa. Hence where our company name came from, inspired and now called Rodeo Peak Coffee Co., where cowboy hats can be seen worn all over the region.
We are a Canadian and Guatemalan couple, our lives are a blend of two worlds, held together by a shared love for a truly exceptional cup of coffee. Most coffee travels through half a dozen hands before it reaches your cup. Our coffee travels through two: Madaiβs uncle, Mr Rigoberto, in Jalapa, and us in Ontario. Rodeo Peak Coffee Co. began with a simple realization: the best coffee in the world was already in the family. Rigoberto has spent his life tending to a single farm tucked away in the volcanic highlands of Guatemala. In Jalapa, the air is cool, the soil is rich with minerals, and the coffee cherries grow slowly, developing a deep, natural sweetness.
We started importing directly from him because we believe in fairness you can actually track. No middle parties, no corporate blending: just fresh, single-farm beans roasted right here in Canada. When you drink Rodeo Peak Coffee, you aren't just supporting a small business in Ontario; youβre supporting a family legacy in Jalapa.
As we grow, we are excited to partner with more farms and bring new Guatemalan varieties to you. We believe in fairness you can track; no middle parties, just fresh beans supporting a family legacy.
